A charming straw bale home in Witchcliffe

When the wind comes from the west, you can hear the crashing of the surf on Redgate Beach just over the ridge.

The house has the wonderful insulating qualities of straw – cool in the summer and warm in the winter. A wood heater with abundant firewood from our own plantation will ensure your warmth and cosiness whatever the weather.

Stroll around the farm, and you are likely to see kangaroos and emus. Go spotlighting at night in the natural bush behind the house, and you’ll find native possums, phascogales and bandicoots.

“The house is beautifully designed, and the property is gorgeous (we especially loved the friendly farm animals!)

The location was perfect—close enough to explore the beaches and other attractions in the area, but also peaceful and secluded.”
